At St. Alphonsus Parish, we offer the following opportunities for coming to know Jesus through the Catholic way of life:
The Christian Initiation of Adults
This process is for unbaptized adults, those baptized in other Christian traditions, and those baptized in the Catholic Church, but not raised in the faith, who now wish to be received into the Catholic Church or complete their initiation. The reception of the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist is usually celebrated at our parish Easter Vigil Liturgy. Preparation takes place throughout the year.
The Sacrament of Confirmation
Catholic Adults seeking Confirmation (who have already been baptized and have received First Communion) are invited to participate in a Confirmation Preparation Program for nine calendared sessions. The sacrament is usually celebrated during our parish Easter Vigil Liturgy.
Catholic Update
This process is for confirmed Catholics who wish to update and deepen their faith as Catholic Christians. Sessions are planned around individual needs.
