Hi, my name is Mary Stallmann.
I have been principal at St. Alphonsus School for only one year but I have been working as a principal for the past sixteen years. Prior to becoming a principal, I was a middle school science teacher for ten years. I am proud of my role in Catholic Education and I am excited to be working with the teachers, students, families, and staff at this exemplary school. St. Alphonsus School has a reputation for academic excellence with caring teachers that provide a safe place for children to learn and grow.
I grew up in Spring Lake, Michigan—which is located almost exactly across Lake Michigan from Milwaukee. I received my undergraduate teaching degree with an English major and Biology minor from Grand Valley State University in Michigan and my masters in Educational Policy and Leadership from Marquette University in Milwaukee.
One fun fact about me is that I have a twin brother named Frank. He still lives in Michigan along with my dad and two sisters. My other sister lives here in Wisconsin. I reside in Fox Point with my husband, Dirk, and three children (Ava, Graham, Miles). Family is very important to me and I love spending time with them playing cards and other games. I also enjoy biking and gardening.
