Children’s Liturgy of the Word (CLOW)
CLOW takes place at the 9 AM and 11 AM Sunday liturgies every 2nd and 4th weekend of the months.
Children in Grades 1 – 5 are encouraged to process from the main church to a secondary site (usually our Community Room)to continue the Liturgy of the Word portion of the Mass specifically for children. Experienced catechists break open the Word (1st Reading, Responsorial Psalm, 2nd Reading, and Gospel) then do an inter-active homily with the students. This makes scripture so much more meaningful to our young people. Finally they say the Children’s Creed, pray their Intentions and then join us once again in church for the Liturgy of the Eucharist portion of the Mass. They are sent home with a flyer which reflects the homily so that parents can discuss what the children remember on their ride home.
