We are so very excited about our 3K program here at Saint Alphonsus Catholic School. 

Our staff and administration is working hard to create a learning environment specifically designed and decorated to inspire, comfort, and meet the needs of a three year old student.  Your child will feel safe and ready to learn!

Our curriculum is built on the developmental level of a three year old.  We will be teaching educational basics by using themes that you and your child can relate to...  Some examples include: Learning about Myself, Learning about Families and Communities, Understanding Holidays and Experiencing the Seasons.  We will incorporate an introduction of the alphabet  and numbers as well as other basic learning and social skills such as listening, taking turns, saying "please" and "thank you" and singing.  The children will learn through hands on projects, books and their experiences with peers.  Music and finger plays along with fantasy and fairy tales will also be included.

Educational opportunities are a priority, but here at St. Al's we believe that socialization is an important part of the learning equation.  Your child will develop skills through play and interaction with others.  The simple act of playing with blocks teaches children coordination, math and spatial relationships.  Crayons, clay, and paints offer new experiences in creativity, as well as pride in the final product displayed on the wall.  Art related activities teach children about colors and shapes.  Just the act of playing with others teaches a child to share.

We will offer a solid moral and religious foundation to the curriculum as well as teaching our faith through everyday life experiences.  Prayers in the morning and before snack time will reinforce your teachings from home and church.  The children will learn and understand how God is in our every day life, that he gives us strength and the he loves us.

Your child will learn, thrive and grow through this religious based learning environment and will take the lessons learned as a three year old well into his or her adulthood!  We look forward to seeing your son and daughter in our 3K classroom in the fall.

Our program includes

• A two day session on Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00-11:30 for $900

or

• A three day session on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:00-11:30 for $1250
